Sweet Temptation Sweet Evil Wendy Higgins Books
I loved reading this because it allowed me to revisit one of my favorite books, Sweet Evil, but still felt new at the same time. Sweet Temptation is the Sweet Evil trilogy through Kaidan’s eyes. When reading Sweet Evil for the first time it took time to really understand Kaidan’s struggle. It was awesome to be inside his head and see how he viewed Anna and how his feelings for her changed. He’s not a ‘good boy’ but watching him realize that he wants to be ‘good’ was an incredible journey. I also loved seeing his struggles and watching him overcome his lust. You get to really understand his character in this book.I have to say, I actually think I liked a lot of the sexy scenes between Kaidan and Anna even more in this book than I did in the originals. Kaidan’s perspective is really unique because of his inclination toward lust, making those romantic milestones between him and Anna really intense.
The only thing about this book that I wished it would have done was become its own story. We get to see lots of scenes that weren’t in the original books. The author does a lot more than just rehash previously written scenes, but it still felt a little choppy. I didn’t get the sense that someone who hadn’t read the original Sweet Evil trilogy could pick this up and understand everything. And, I wished the author would have done that.
Overall I loved this book and if you’re a fan of the Sweet Evil trilogy it’s a must read.

Sweet Temptation Sweet Evil Wendy Higgins Books Reviews
I've been sighing for Kai ever since I picked up Sweet Evil, and I haven't stopped since. This book is certainly no exception (and perhaps that was a tad bit more sighing because as well all know Kai is perfect and is just absolutely amazing). Everything about this book was fantastic, and is a must read for all fans of this series. I can't even begin to thank Wendy enough for this book as it rounded out the series perfectly. This book was a bittersweet read and while it made it even harder to say goodbye, it also made it a great way to relive all of the books.
I will say that I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with Kai's POV, but it was seriously one of the best things I have ever read. He had me laughing and tearing up a bit, and let me tell you, I love him even more after reading this. And trust me, you will too. I won't lie, my heart broke for him in regards to certain things, and I just wanted to give him a hug many times throughout the book. But he also was his awesome bad boy self. I loved being able to see how the entire series played out from his perspective because while it was basically the same story, it wasn't. Wendy gave us readers something that few authors do, the ENTIRE story. We see all sides of Kai, what drives him to act in the way he does, and just how much Anna helped and changed him. We get to see key moments that played a role in making Kai who he is. We get to witness the pivotal scenes where he finally breaks free of the chains holding him to his past and embraces his future.
The epilogue to this book was one of the most beautiful things I have ever read, and let me just say...thank you Wendy for giving all readers the gift of this epilogue. It made me tear up, and made me utter one last sigh before I closed the book.
One of my favorite things about this book though (besides the obvious of it being Kai 24/7) was the song lyrics at the beginning of every chapter. You could tell that Wendy put a lot of thought into each song for each chapter, to make it fit perfectly. The lyrics really set the tone for the chapter, and added a fun element to the story.
While I am extremely sad that this series is officially over now, I could not be happier with this book and am so thankful that Wendy decided to write it! I will always sigh for Kai, and if you haven't read this yet, drop everything and read it now. Get some Kai in your life once again!! Don't miss out on this one, or you'll seriously regret it!
I always have trepidation when it comes to alternate POV books. They can be very hit or miss. So naturally I was worried about Sweet Temptation. I love Kai and Anna and I was excited for more, but I worried if I would be bored reliving the story. I shouldn’t have worried though because I genuinely enjoyed Kai’s perspective.
I didn’t think it was possible, but I somehow came to love Kai even more after reading this one. Being able to see how he truly felt about Anna was eye opening. He fell quicker than any of us thought and everything he did was done with Anna in mind. It was incredibly swoony seeing how Kai felt first hand. I felt my heart melting.
Naturally Sweet Temptation was a bit darker and sexier than the first three books. We are in Kai’s head after all. We are dealing with a son of lust and anything less would not have been believable. And not gonna lie, I ate up the darker and sexier feel.
What I really liked about Sweet Temptation though was that it was a great way to relive the series without actually re-reading it. I got to relive my favorite parts all over again and it was glorious. The freckles, the cold water, a certain night at the Grand Canyon. It was all there and it was all wonderful.
Oh and also, loved the audio for this one. It was like Kai was reading the story to me and I was a swoony fangirl.
All in all, Sweet Temptation is a great read for fans of the series. It was so fun going back to this world and I swooned hard over Kai. Definitely a fun read.
I loved loved loved the Sweet Trilogy by Wendy Higgins and I really loved this book which is all three books told through Kaidan Rowe's point of view.
Kai has so much in his life like money, great looks, sex appeal, and musical talent. But he also has no free will since his father is a Demon and if he doesn't follow orders than he will die. His father is the Duke of Lust and he has to have sex with so many women and he's forced to do it with some younger girls as well even when he doesn't want to. Anna Whitt coming into his life changed so much for him. She showed him that there are good people in the world and he was capable of so much more than he thought. He learned about true friendship and love.
This book and all the others in the Sweet series are amazing and powerful stories. The characters and the world they live in are wonderfully created and described.
